THE STORY OF THE TOWER OF BABEL
One of the most famous of these stories is the Tower of Babel. In the tale, all people once spoke a single language and decided to build a tower so tall it would reach the sky. According to the story, their plan was stopped, and suddenly everyone began speaking different languages. Now that they could not understand each other, they could no longer work together, so they stopped building and spread out across the whole world. It is a story about pride and the birth of many tongues.
