T. REX
Tyrannosaurus rex means tyrant lizard king in Latin and Greek. It lived about
68 to 66 million years ago during the Late Cretaceous in what is now western North America. Big adults reached roughly
12 metres long and weighed around
8 tonnes, about as heavy as a big elephant. T. rex walked on two powerful legs and was one of the largest meat-eating dinosaurs ever. Its huge skull and thick teeth made it a top predator of its time. No wonder movies call it the king of dinosaurs.
