PAGE 1 OF 5, WATER NEVER STOPS
CYCLE
Comic panorama of the sun warming the ocean with rising mist and distant clouds
EARTH'S WATER KEEPS MOVING
Earth's water does not sit still. It moves in a big loop called the water cycle. The sun warms oceans, lakes, and puddles. Some water turns into invisible vapour and rises into the air. Later it cools, forms clouds, and falls again as rain or snow. That water fills rivers, lakes, and seas, then the loop can start again. The same water has been reused for a very long time.
⚡ DID YOU KNOW?
Water is not used up forever when it rains. It keeps changing form and moving around Earth.
LOOP!
SUN POWER
Comic bright sun shining over sparkling ocean waves
☀️ The sun is the engine of the water cycle because it adds heat to surface water.
🌊 Most of Earth's water sits in the oceans, so they matter a lot in this story.
FORMS
Comic water shown as liquid river, fluffy cloud vapour, and icy snow
💧 Water can be liquid in rivers, solid as ice or snow, or gas as vapour in the air.
🔄 Changing form is normal, and that is how the cycle keeps going.
