Blood looks like one red liquid, but it is a mixture of parts working together. Plasma is the watery fluid that carries everything. Red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets float inside it. Each part has a special job for your body. Your heart pumps this mixture through tubes called blood vessels. Without blood, oxygen and waste could not travel where they need to go.
