On the island of Crete, King Minos ruled a strong sea kingdom. Deep under his palace, stories say, lived a strange monster called the Minotaur. It had a bull's head and a human body. Minos was scared of it and hid it away. He put it in a maze so twisty that people got lost. That maze is one of the most famous prisons in Greek myth. Kids still love this scary-but-safe story of a secret under a palace floor.
