Saturn is the sixth planet from the Sun and the second largest after Jupiter. It is a gas giant about nine times wider than Earth, made mostly of hydrogen and helium with a possible rocky core deep inside. Its pale gold color comes from ammonia crystals in the upper clouds. While rings grab attention, Saturn itself is a world of deep winds, layered clouds, and strange polar weather unlike anywhere else.
